The 2017 Gower Chilli Festival will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of July. We hope to see you there for some 'Cool Heat'. The 2016 Festival was a fantastic success with almost 5,000 people enjoying an amazing range of events, stalls, music and chilli mayhem!
Photos above from top left to bottom right; live bands playing to 1,000 people on the festival field, BBQ competition winner, the 'chilli crew' amigos; specially crafted chilli cookoff trophy; our super celebs Siany with James King (of Opsreys and Wales) who helped judge the cookoff; with show organiser Andrew Brooks of Gower Chillis; picnics, hot street food and loads of craft and gourmet food stalls.
Entry to the 2017 Festival will be £6 and just £1 for kids. Concessions (with identification) are 20% discount. The money raised helps support our nominated charities like the RNLI and Swansea Community Farm as well as finding new attractions for everyone; we already have exciting new events booked and more information will be published as the festival takes shape.
There will be a number of competitions including the Great Gower Chilli Cookoff, the BBQ Competition and the amazing and super popular Chilli Eating Competition.
All are run by the UK Chilli Cookoff Association.
There will be two full days of attractions planned with great live music, chilli companies, cooking competitions, kids events, gourmet food, local crafts, Street Food and much more. The Gower Chilli Festival is a laid back Family Friendly Festival by the sea; we aim to provide great entertainment and activities for the whole family for the whole weekend.
We hope, subject to planning that there will be on-site camping and subject to demand we will create our fabulous Glamping village too.
The Chilli Cookoff at the Festival is authorised by the UK Chilli Cookoff Association and the winner will be eligible to enter the UK Final - please see the UKCCA Website.
