The 2017 Gower Chilli Festival will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of July. We hope to see you there for some 'Cool Heat'. The 2016 Festival was a fantastic success with almost 5,000 people enjoying an amazing range of events, stalls, music and chilli mayhem!
Photos above from top left to bottom right; live bands playing to 1,000 people on the festival field, BBQ competition winner, the 'chilli crew' amigos; specially crafted chilli cookoff trophy; our super celebs Siany with James King (of Opsreys and Wales) who helped judge the cookoff; with show organiser Andrew Brooks of Gower Chillis; picnics, hot street food and loads of craft and gourmet food stalls.
The money raised from the Festival helps support our nominated charities like the RNLI and Swansea Community Farm as well as finding new attractions for everyone; we already have exciting new events bands and attractons booked for 2017.
There will be a number of competitions including the Great Gower Chilli Cookoff (with winning teams qualifying to compete for International honours in US) and an International BBQ Qualifying event plus the amazing Chilli Eating Competition.
There are two full days of attractions planned with great live music, chilli companies, cooking competitions, kids events, gourmet food, local crafts, Street Food and much more. The Gower Chilli Festival is a laid back Family Friendly Festival by the sea; we aim to provide great entertainment and activities for the whole family for the whole weekend.
We hope, subject to planning that there will be on-site camping and subject to demand we will create our fabulous Glamping village too.
The Chilli Cookoff at the Festival is authorised by the UK Chilli Cookoff Association - please see the UKCCA Website.
